Who is the fictional character you relate to the most?

I think that Aegon (Jon) Targaryen is the pearson I relate to the most. Maybe, because he had a lot hard situations in his life. Just like me. He was raised as Eddard’s bastard, his childchood was not easy. Many judged on the basis of his background; he was often the butt of jokes and ridicule. It seems that no one apart from Robb, Arya and his uncle treated him as part of their family.

Of course I ’m not a bastard, but I know what it’s like when the rest of the world doesn’t accept you, doesn’t treat you as an equal and rejects you. My classmates at primary school – because I can’t call them anything else – for some reason didn’t want to be friends with me; perhaps because, during PE lessons, they’d often accuse me of being too slow and say it was my fault they were losing some utterly daft competitions. Perhaps they were also jealous of me because, unlike them, I did better in some subjects such as history or Polish. I was a hard-working student who put a lot of effort into my studies. So I think that might have been the reason. Because the only subject they could really excel at was PE.

So I think what I have in common with Aegon is not only that we both had a tough start, but also that we both came through it, overcame those obstacles and, as a result, became stronger. Aegon for example won the respect of the people of the North, who proclaimed him their king; they respected him without realising that this man was, in fact, the rightful heir to the Iron Throne and deserved to sit upon it a hundred times more than some cruel Joffrey, for example.
